Sweet Stuff

Fine words! I wonder where you stole ‘em.

Jonathan Swift

Now, I’m not too proud to admit that many of my thoughts and ideas are sparked by a whole heap of great writers and thinkers. as it says in the ‘Good Book’, “there is nothing new under the sun”…

Friend, writers, preacher-men, lend me your ideas...

So, I thought I’d love to pass on the details of any sage-books/inspirational-music/wise-words etc that I’ve come across. Hence “Sweet Stuff”!

I’ll be adding to these pages as and when I come across anything that helps and encourages me to have those ‘playpen moments’ with God. Maybe they could help and encourage you too…

  1. Hi Sweet Stuff,

WOW… an Amazing Christian mamma website! I love it!! Very entertaining, but full of advise too… practical but also spiritual.

I’m a new mum of a 5 month old boy. There are so many websites to sign up too but I haven’t come across a christian one :)

Suggestion: How about sharing some of your sweetmamma baby recipes? I’m sure you’ve got a few up your sleeve and a few funny stories too. I’m at the weaning stage at the moment, so would love some of your quirky advise. “The Joy of the Lord our strength” There is so much Joy oozing out of your website. When your sooooo tired, its great to turn the tired weeping into laughter…lol!!!

    Blessings

    • Thanks so much, Sue, and congrats on your little Sweetie! I really enjoyed the weaning stage, although remember getting pretty stressed when they wouldn’t eat what I served up…still, they could always be relied on to eat yoghurts! I didn’t have a clue what to cook when I started – I read a lot of cookbooks by Annabel Karmel, a super-star kids cook. Highly recommended. We’re at the self-feeding stage with Sweetiepie now – messy, messy, messy (yesterday = beans in hair, up nose, in ears!). I love it! Thanks again for your lovely comment… Visit again! X

      • Thanks Sweetmumma :)

I haven’t tried yogurts yet but I’m sure he’d like them and Yep thats confirmation re: Annabel Karmel. She was recommended to me just a few months ago and I’d forgotten all about it! Funny about the beans…I got an eye full of rice this evening…lol!!!!

        Blessings

      • Glad to remind you – I just love her books! ‘Feeding Your Baby and Toddler’ is my favourite. Hope your eye recovers!!! X
